Job Description

ICMA is seeking Sponsorship Sales Representatives to join the team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and reach sponsorship goals of desired projects. This is a commission based only and remote (from home) position.

 The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organized, with a knack for research. We are looking for someone who believes in the ICMA mission and will demonstrate exceptional drive to further our fundraising efforts and help strategize and deliver new ones.

Advancement is available within ICMA, this open position is an opportunity to work within and participate with future advanced positions.

 Objectives of this Role

-Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work

-Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers

-Spot new fundraising opportunities

-Research individuals, corporations, and foundations that may be interested in gift-giving

-Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors

-Attend trainings and meetings (online or phone) and adhere to the objectives.

-Represent, enhance, and promote the ICMA mission in a positive, professional, and effective manner.

-Ensure that all data is handled with sensitivity and in accordance with financial good practice.

 Skills and Qualifications

-Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

-Strong attention to detail

-A passion for research

-Strong verbal communication and computer system navigation skills are required

-Dependability a MUST

-High school diploma or equivalent is required

-Experience of working in a team to achieve shared objectives
